TPO Guaranteed Titanium Alloys

If you're looking for Titanium hardware for your bike, you've probably seen a few sellers offering Titanium bits at "too good to be true" prices--especially on Ebay. Usually these parts are made in places like China with very little (if any) quality control. The fit and finish of these parts is sloppy, and the quality of the metal is often suspect. In fact, we have seen "titanium" items which are not really titanium at all!

Imported Alloys

While there are certainly many good manufacturers in China, the average consumer is not in a position to certify the quality and consistency of imports. We are regularly contacted by Chinese and other Asian companies trying to sell us their "titanium" hardware. These companies will even go so far as to send us lists of our competitors who are currently buying from them. Their parts are indeed cheap-- often cheaper than commodity titanium prices. Because titanium is an internationally traded commodity, it is impossible to get titanium below "market" prices. If this hardware was certified titanium alloy, these companies could make more money by just selling the material in bulk. When we see "titanium" hardware at these prices, we know something must be wrong. No reputable manufacturer or mill would sell titanium at these prices, and so we know that these companies must be unloading un-certifiable titanium -- or other alloys which are simply not titanium! There are many vendors who certify and guarantee specific, well-established, foreign titanium hardware producers. Unfortunately, you just can't trust most discount vendors.

TPO Certified Alloys

You are putting a lot of trust in critical parts on your bike, so make sure you know what you are are buying. If you have any doubt about the parts you are considering, ask the seller where the parts were made and what kind of inspection procedures they use. Just because the dealer is based in the USA doesn't mean that their parts are MADE in the USA. Where do their parts come from? Can you return the parts if you are unhappy with them?

When you purchase from TPO Parts you know you are getting a quality product. We stand by the quality of our parts. TPO Parts does not import from or outsource production to China, India, etc. We know the only way to make the parts right is to make them ourselves. We own our own machine shop in College Station, Texas, USA. Our Titanium parts are made in-house whenever possible. We purchase all of our raw material from domestic mills, and we demand certificates of analysis for every lot we buy. TPO Parts never has never sold poor quality import junk--and we never will!

We back all of our parts with our best-in-the- business return policy: if you are unsatisifed with any of our products--for ANY reason--you are always welcome to return those parts for a full refund.
