1. We started by selecting a Military spec grade of stainless steel spring wire for our springs. This material can handle the heat, vibration, and constant flexing it is subjected to much better than the OEM steel or the decorative-grade stainless used by our competitors.
2. The spring design provides 20% more clamping force than the OEM springs. This fights clutch slippage, which not only costs you power, but also contributes to expensive wear and tear.
3. TPO Racing clutch springs are manufactured on state-of-the art computerized machinery. This allows us to make a very precise, high quality, spring. We monitor the springs using statistical process control, just like aircraft parts. After manufacture, every spring is measured by hand. We have strict criteria for both the spring height and the spring rate (stiffness), and we select only those springs which meet these criteria. We package our springs in sets in which all springs have identical rates. No other manufacturer does this, but this extra step ensures that your clutch plate will be evenly loaded for butter-smooth clutch action and improved feel.
4. TPO Racing clutch springs are cryogenically treated in order to improve their fatigue properties. Their superior metallurgy combined with this treatment gives them a fatigue life that is more than double that of the OEM springs. This means your TPO spring set will last longer than stock.
