When we received these parts from our machine shop, we were blown away! Not only is this Titanium swingarm pivot assembly lightweight, corrosion proof, and stiffer than stock, but it is a work of art!
This is the "hinge pin" that your swingarm pivots on. As such, it is a critical part of your motorcycle's rear suspension. We designed it not just to be lightweight, but also to provide stiffer and smoother action than the OEM part.
The TPO Titanium swingarm pivot assembly is two pieces, both of which are made from 6AL-4V Titanium, machined to NAS "X" grade close-specification Aerospace standards. The pivot shaft itself is completely hollow for maximum weight savings. The inside is actually bored out for the complete length of the part. This is more expensive than drilling, but unlike simply drilling it out, this eliminates the possiblity of stress concentrations on the ID. The matching bolt is made with full-depth threads for a firm fit, and is likewise hollow to save as much weight as possible. Both parts have precisely machined hexes for proper tightening.
