Universal Ducati Emissions Removal Kit

Applications

  • All Ducati motorcycles, except some 2000 or later Monsters
  • Will work with 2000 or later Monsters with the single-sided swingarm, such as S2R, S4R, and S4RS
  • Works with 749, 999, Multristrada, 1098, and more!
  • Works with 2-valve, DS/Dual Spark, 4-valve and Testastretta Ducatis
If you have a 2000 Monster without a single-sided swingarm, see our Ducati Monster Emissions Kit.

This kit includes everything you need to completely remove the emissions gear from your bike:

  • Step-by-step directions with color photos
  • Two sets of machined intake port plugs (made from 316L Stainless Steel)
  • High-temperature sealing compound
  • Vent tube Y-splice (high temperature stable polymer)
  • Length of Santoprene vent hose

The main feature of the kit is the special screws to plug the ports in the intake manifolds. With this kit you can remove the ENTIRE emissions system, including all the hoses, clamps, and so forth left behind by the standard amateur job. You will rid your bike of the ugly emissions can by your right rearset, as well as over six feet of black hoses that clutter up your engine.

On the average Ducati, this kit will save about 1.6 lbs (725 g) of weight, though this depends on the model and mileage of your bike. The more miles you have, the more weight you'll save. The kit also improves the appearance of your bike, and greatly reduces the chance of developing a vacuum leak. It can also provide a *minor* boost in performance.

Installing this kit requires some basic hand tools (screwdrivers, metric wrenches, metric Allen keys, and scissors) and will take about 30 minutes to an hour for the average person. If you are experienced with working on your bike, it will probably take you less than 20 minutes. Note that complete, step-by-step directions are included!
