Honda RC51 Flapper Valve Removal Kit

Kit Contents:
  • Billet Aluminum block off plate
  • All required hardware
  • Complete directions
The RC51 is arguably the finest V-Twin sports bike ever produced by Honda. It is a very capable racer straight off the showroom floor. However, like most motorcycles it is not without its shortcomings. The RC51 has a "flapper valve" mechanism in the air intake duct. Its purpose is to quiet down the intake noise. Unfortunately, it also costs you horsepower. The flapper valve mechanism is responsible for the commonly reported "flat spot" (dip) in horsepower around 5000-7000 RPM. Fortunately, TPO has a solution. This kit completely removes the flapper valve system. It opens up the intake tract so that the flapper valve restriction is eliminated. In doing so, over two pounds of weight is saved as well!

The TPO Flapper Valve removal kit includes a sleek aluminum block-off plate that is machined to fit your motorcycle perfectly. It is made as thin as possible to minimize protrusion and weight. The kit includes all the required hardware and step-by-step illustrated directions. You can be up and running in about an hour with commonly found tools.
